Why does Sun Quest Air Charter fly from Van Nuys Airport? Can we use an airport closer to us?
Our offices and aircraft are based out of Van Nuys & Burbank. However, if another airport is requested we can often position an aircraft at a different location but there would be additional costs due to fuel, landing and staging fees.
Can we fly outside the US in your aircraft?
Absolutely. Sun Quest is approved for travel throughout continental North and South America.
Can we choose the aircraft? The pilots?
Specific requests are always welcome, schedule permitting. We will attempt to do our best to accommodate these requests.
Are there food and/or drinks on the plane?
Sun Quest stocks all of its planes with an array of munchies and beverages, including coffee, soda, juice and water. Alcohol is not standard, but may be requested.
We have relationships with a number of caterers and can provide for special orders anywhere along your route, for an additional cost.
What do we do with vehicles after arrival?
There is ample free parking outside our facility. Passengers are also welcome to enter the gate with their vehicle to unload passengers/baggage. Complimentary valet service will park the car inside the hangar for the duration of your trip.
How far ahead of our scheduled departure time should we arrive?
Charter flights are at your convenience. Our standard policy is to have our plane & crew staged and ready one hour prior to departure. Whether you arrive early or a bit late we will be ready for you.
What forms of payment are accepted?
Sun Quest generally provides its price quotes based on a cash price. Credit cards are accepted, but at a 5% increase. A credit card is required to authorize any trip, whether payment is cash, check, or charge. Wire transfers will also be accepted.
Does the price change if it’s only one person vs. 8 people?
Charter prices are based on aircraft type and size, not per seat. Whether it is one passenger or filled to capacity, the price remains the same.
What are the most common destinations?
Although Sun Quest charters can fly to virtually any city in the continent, we have found some of the most popular destinations to be Cabo San Lucas, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Chicago, New York, Dallas, Aspen and Seattle.
What can I bring on board? Are there luggage size limitations?
You can bring whatever you want onboard- food, computer, golf clubs, pets, etc. We want to make sure you are as settled and comfortable as you can be for the duration of your flight.
Baggage capacity varies from plane to plane. If you have a particularly large or awkwardly shaped item, we suggest verifying it will be able to be properly stowed. Standard items such as suitcases, golf clubs, etc. are easily stowed on all planes.
Do you have emergency medical equipment?
We have first aid kits onboard all aircraft.
Do you allow pets?
Absolutely! We welcome pets in our office, on our planes, and within the FBO itself.
Do all your aircraft have bathrooms?
All of our aircraft do have facilities; some are more private than others. If a fully enclosed lavatory is important for your comfort, please call and we will suggest the aircraft that suits your needs.
Do you have audio/visual capability? Do I need to bring an extra battery for my computer equipment?
Most aircraft have power outlets for your devices. At this time, we do not offer Wi-Fi, AirShow or audiovisual capabilities on any of our planes.
Are there onboard phones? Does my cell phone work? Are there wireless networks available?
Unfortunately, at this time we do not offer Wi-Fi while in the air. We do have complimentary Wife within our FBO. And we currently only offer an onboard phone on the Westwind.
Do you arrange for limo services upon arrival? Car rental? Taxi?
Absolutely. There are some limo services that we have a close relationship with but would be happy to arrange car rental or taxi as well. Whatever you need, we can take care of.
Will you be able to tell me exactly how long the flight would be and the ETA at take off?
Yes, we will happily provide you with all flight information before taking off, and gladly give updates to anyone you’d wish to be notified while en route.
